How do I scan a document?

Open Documents and tap the scan button. Hold your iPhone over the page; ScanQ finds the edges and captures it. Add more pages, adjust crop and filters, then tap Save. You can also import photos and files.

What can I do for free?

Scanning, importing, viewing, searching and organizing are free without limits. Actions that produce an output (sharing, exporting, converting, PDF tools, copying recognized text and the AI assistant) include 3 free actions in total. Backup and restore are always free.

How does the free trial work?

The weekly ScanQ Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The price and renewal terms are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. If you don't want to continue, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iPhone Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, choose ScanQ and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

How do I get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where are my documents stored? How do I move them to a new phone?

Documents are stored only in ScanQ on your device. Before changing phones, go to Settings › Backup › Export all documents and save the ZIP to Files or iCloud Drive. On the new device, tap Restore from backup and pick the ZIP. If iCloud Backup is on for your device, it also includes your ScanQ documents.

I deleted the app. Can you recover my documents?

Unfortunately not. We never receive your documents, so we have no copy. They can only come back from a ScanQ backup ZIP or a device backup.

How do I convert an e-invoice (e-Fatura) XML to PDF?

Open Convert and choose XML to PDF, then pick the XML file or a ZIP of invoices. The PDF is a readable copy; the original XML stays the legal record.

Why don't I see the AI assistant?

The assistant uses Apple Intelligence on your device. It needs a supported iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other devices it stays hidden; every other feature works.

A converted file looks different from the original.

Conversions are made on your device and some layouts, fonts, macros or embedded media can't be reproduced exactly. Send us the file type and what went wrong, without attaching private documents.

I forgot the password of a PDF I protected.

We can't recover it. The password is never sent to us. Keep the original unprotected copy if you may need it.

How does App Lock work?

Turn on Settings › App Lock. ScanQ then asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when it opens. While it is on, widgets and Spotlight don't show your documents.
